October ended up being incredibly full.
I helped with the Arcata Sunrise Rotary fundraising Golf Tournament and read stories for the Humboldt County Library at the Medieval Festival of Courage in Blue Lake the first weekend, attended heartfelt, beautiful gala events for Changing Tides Family Services, Ink People Center for the Arts (with Adam making wonderfully fun surreal costumes), and for the
Clark Museum (a Victorian Tea Party with my lovely daughter), and produced an amazing birthday party featuring dragons, rainbows, mermaids, and more. I helped start a new Art & Poetry Club at Arcata Library for teens and got the chance to lead some storytimes for Halloween and Dia de los Muertos for families.

I was able to attend the 2025 California Library Association in Riverside, attending lots of amazing sessions and presentations along with sharing the Community Storytime Leader project I created in a hope to inspire more people to develop the tools to read to young children. I also got to visit my daughter, which was great. Finally, Halloween was great fun on the Arcata Plaza, and I was honored to help host the event with Arcata Chamber of Commerce.
Here's looking at November, friends!
