This is for dance teachers who need liability insurance for their classes.

The company I use is perfect for teaching in various studios for a reasonable price. It's the International Massage Association ... IMA Group. They work with dancers, massage therapists, all kinds of service professionals.

As a dance teacher you join the IMA Group's International Dance Teacher's Association. The basic membership insures you for teaching 10 or less students and is $199 a year. The "upgrade" level allows you to teach 10-99 people and be covered, and for $10 each you can add "additional insured" locations that you teach at or even rent for performances. I always add all the studios I might be teaching. My policy ends up being about $350.

While you're joining, you'll need to add "Redwood Raks World Dance Studio, 824 L St / 1251 9th St, Arcata, CA 95521" as additional insured. It will be $10 more and you'll be covered to teach at the space all year.

Good luck... they're quick at turnaround of new policies, and they'll send a certificate you can make a copy of for me to have on file.
