Shoshanna
is a Middle Eastern Dance artist from Arcata, on California's Northern
Redwood Coast who is known for her artful presentation and expressive
lyrical style. She performs and teaches workshops across the country
in which she works with students to cultivate excellent technique and
a passion for the dance. In Arcata, Shoshanna teaches at local dance
studios, at Humboldt State University since 1998, and directs the Ya
Habibi! Dance Company. Shoshanna's extensive dance background in Ballet
and Modern dance contribute to the powerful presence and musical sensitivity
that she brings to the stage in any performance. In May, Shoshanna won
the title of 2004 Bellydancer of the Year.
